Beneficio Comunitario San Pedro is a relationship model that started in 2018 with a small group of producers. The relationship is based on ongoing exchange of knowledge to learn from each other. The model grew over the years to 169 producers from the region. Inez Vazquez, born and raised in the region, is the woman managing de Beneficio.

Cafeologia is their work-partner, rather than being just a commercial partner to supply coffee and send an invoice. These work-partners do listen to each other, ask questions, collaborate and support. Cafeologia runs cafes in the region, educates their customers, roasts coffee, exports green coffee and has an agronomy team working with the Beneficio all year round.

We love to see such relationships! Eyesight, social, genuine and it's fun to help each other further. That's what we seek for in new work-partners too. That's why, when Patrizio visited the Beneficio and Cafeologia, we knew we would have that coffee on the menu one day.

Sometimes we run into coffees that have great people behind them, are produced organically with best intentions for nature and the future of coffee growing but are not officially certified.
