We discovered this coffee through Lukas, who we met at Europe’s largest coffee exhibition in Geneva last year. Through his work connecting Indonesian producers with European roasters, he introduced us to the Walida cooperative on Mount Argopuro in East Java.
Grown on the slopes of Mount Argopuro, this coffee comes from a community of around 500 farming families dedicated to sustainable and organic cultivation. The cooperative works to restore biodiversity in the region while producing high-quality specialty coffee at elevations up to 1850 meters.
In the cup, this Indonesian coffee offers delicate floral aromas and berry-like sweetness with a smooth body. Roasted for espresso, it creates a vibrant and balanced shot and performs beautifully in milk drinks such as cappuccino.
Sometimes we run into coffees that have great people behind them, are produced sustainable with best intentions for nature and the future of coffee growing which are not officially certified. These producers we still love to support to share their coffee with you. You recognise these coffees by the green, Balloon B-symbol on the coffee bag label.
We currently roast bi-weekly on Fridays. New orders will be sent out after the next roast day.
Find the dates on our Roasting Schedule.
