BACS 48N said the label on the green coffee sample that we received from Rodolfo. A super tasty cup turns out, with another great story behind.
BACS stands for, Buenos Aires Coffee School, a project he started in the region of Santa Ana. Like in many origin countries, young generations move to the cities to build on their future. Countryside, family coffee farms are not continued due to various reasons. Challenging climate conditions are resulting in lower yield, plant deceases and lower quality. Besides, better prices are still paid to grow other crops then coffee.
With the Coffee School Rodolfo let other farmers benefit from his knowledge about farming and international trade. Organic practices, reforestation and growing new varieties add to better quality coffee which gives perspective again.
Sometimes we run into coffees that have great people behind them, are produced sustainable with best intentions for nature and the future of coffee growing but are not officially certified. These producers we still want to support to share their coffee with you. You recognise these coffees by the green, Balloon B-symbol on the coffee bag label.
We currently roast bi-weekly on Fridays. New orders will be sent out after the next roast day.
Find the dates on our Roasting Schedule.
